OUR CATHOLIC SCHOOL ACADEMICS Gifts for your child's mind The Catholic schools of our region offer an excellent elementary education to your children. Traditional teaching combined with a variety of current instructional strategies, in support of NY State standards, are presented daily within each classroom. All teachers are certified by the NY State Department of Education. Our school offers your child this Gift. Gifts for your child's soul Catholic schools are special because they offer your children what is most important for their growth as human beings and as Christians--spiritual formation. Classroom religious instruction on a daily basis, daily classroom prayer, frequent celebrations of liturgy for the school community--all enrich your child's relationship with God and teach them a Catholic way of life. Our school offers your child this Gift. Gifts for your child's heart Our Catholic schools are special because they create the conditions where your children can be loved and cared for and helped and supported in community. During 2006, our diocese began a "Tomorrow's Hope" campaign to raise funds that can be used to offer financial aid to parish families who send children to the parish school. The '06-'07 school year was the first time that this kind of financial aid was available to our students. The diocese has employed a professional financial aid service that will receive applications for this financial aid and assess all the applications. Families who have children in our parish school and would like an application for this financial aid for the current year should contact our School Principal at 516-825-4009. The form must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2008! ![]() |
